Colorado Votes: Capturing the Capitol
Two years ago, Colorado Republicans won over the state House of Representatives by less than 200 votes. Democrats held on to the Senate. As part of our election coverage "Colorado Votes," we’re going to talk about what’s changed since that last legislative election. Redistricting has led to some newly competitive seats, and the competition has translated into more money and TV ads. Ernest Luning publishes a monthly roster of the states’ top legislative races for the Colorado Statesman. He says both parties are determined to control the state House in 2013.
