Why do you accept funding from businesses and acknowledge them on air? 

To maintain the fiscal health and security of public broadcasting, the federal government has consistently encouraged public radio and television to solicit funds from businesses, requiring that all such underwriters be acknowledged on air. Today, more than 400 businesses across Colorado contribute to Colorado Public Radio’s budget. In return, business underwriters receive acknowledgements that are strictly limited in both tone and content to match the expectations of our listeners.

Does Colorado Public Radio receive support from colleges / universities?

Colorado Public Radio is not associated with or supported by a college or university. In fact, more than 90% of our funding comes directly from listeners, businesses and foundations across the state.
