Monday 12/20-- 7pm: A Chanticleer Christmas
America's finest male chorus celebrates the mystery and wonder of Christmas with traditional and best-loved Christmas songs from Gregorian chant to Gospel. The San Francisco-based chorus is recognized worldwide for its brilliant technique and musicality.

Monday 12/20-- 8pm: "Three Days of Glorias" Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria

Tuesday 12/21-- 7pm: "Welcome Christmas" with VocalEssence
This lively musical program is a perennial holiday favorite featuring the Minneapolis-based ensemble VocalEssence. Recognized internationally as one of America’s premier choral arts organizations, VocalEssence is led by the visionary Philip Brunelle.

Tuesday 12/21-- 8pm: "Three Days of Glorias" John Rutter's Gloria

Wednesday 12/22-- 7pm: Echoes of Christmas with the Dale Warland Singers
Drawing upon the group's archive of live performances, Dale Warland and host Brian Newhouse create a very special musical treat: a collection of the best and most moving choral classics celebrating Christmas.

Wednesday 12/22-- 8pm: "Three Days of Glorias" Francis Poulenc's Gloria

Thursday 12/23-- 7pm: Leroy Anderson Christmas Special
This one hour program contains classic Christmas arrangements and original music by Leroy Anderson.  Hosted by conductor Leonard Slatkin and the composer's son Kurt Anderson, the program features recorded performances of Leroy Anderson’s music with Slatkin conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra, and Leroy Anderson conducting his “Pops” Concert Orchestra.  Listeners will also hear Leroy Anderson talking about how he wrote some of his famous Christmas music and what Christmas means to him.

Thursday 12/23 8pm: Benjamin Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols”

Friday 12/24-- 8am - 10am: Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
Broadcast live from the chapel of King's College in Cambridge, England, the 30-voice King's College Choir performs the legendary Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols service of Biblical readings and music.  A Colorado Public Radio tradition!

Friday 12/24-- Noon:  The Nutcracker (FULL)
Clara, the Prince, the Nutcracker and the Sugar Plum Fairy provide the perfect accompaniment to the day before Christmas.  The Nutcracker in its entirety!

Uninterrupted Christmas favorites from Colorado Public Radio’s vast music library.

Friday 12/24 - 4pm-6pm:  St. Olaf Christmas Festival
This two-hour service in song and word has become one of the nation's most cherished holiday celebrations.  The festival includes hymns, carols, choral works and orchestral selections celebrating the Nativity and featuring more than 500 student musicians who are members of five choirs and the St. Olaf Orchestra.

Friday 12/24-- 6pm - Midnight:  Candlelight Christmas Eve
Colorado Public Radio celebrates Christmas Eve with the quieter, more sacred side of Christmas music. It's nearly twelve hours of intimate choral and orchestral music that capture the sacredness of Christmas Eve.

Saturday 12/25-- Midnight: Charpentier's Messe de Minuit (Midnight Mass)

Saturday 12/25-- Noon - 3pm: Classical Carol Countdown
Colorado Public Radio listeners voted for their favorite Christmas carols and host David Rutherford will play them back in order of preference.  Tune in to see which one was voted #1.

Saturday 12/25 -- 8pm: Handel's Messiah
Recorded earlier this month at Avery Fischer Hall in New York City, the New York Philharmonic delivers a stunning rendition of Handel's Messiah on this week's broadcast of the New York Philharmonic.

We count down to the New Year with all nine of Beethoven Symphonies, culminating with the Ode to Joy exactly at Midnight!  Charley Samson hosts this annual tradition featuring orchestras across the world and here at home in Colorado!

Saturday 1/1-- 4-6pm: New Year's Day from Vienna
Join us on New Year's Day 2011, for a sparkling celebration, live from the Golden Hall at the Musikverein in Vienna. The Vienna Philharmonic presents its annual New Year’s Day from Vienna, including your favorite waltzes and polkas, and so much more. Hear New Year's Day from Vienna 2011 from Colorado Public Radio, NPR and WGBH Boston.
