Here's what's on tap for the week of Feb. 23.

Monday

We'll hear String Quartet No. 2 by Benjamin Britten and learn about the piece. Also: We'll hear the Calder Quartet, which performs music by Britten at a Friends of Chamber Music concert Wednesday at the Newman Center, in a recent SummerFest performance from Bravo! Vail.

Tuesday

We'll learn about and hear Beethoven's String Quartet No. 14, another piece on the Calder Quartet's Wednesday program. And we'll hear another performance by the quartet.

WEDNESDAY

A look at J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor, which will be performed Friday in Denver and Saturday in Boulder by the Boulder Bach Festival under music director Zachary Carrettin.

Thursday

A look at composer Kevin Puts, whose music is featured on Saturday as part of the Colorado Symphony's first "American Festival" concert.

FriDAY

We'll learn about Leonard Bernstein and hear his Symphony No. 1. He's also being featured in the Colorado Symphony's American Festival concert this weekend.
