Colorado Public Radio's SummerFest 2012

Colorado is home to more classical music summer festivals than nearly any other state.  From Boulder to Steamboat, Aspen, and Vail the air is filled with glorious sounds from the world class musicians who call Colorado home in the summer.   While it would be great to be able to go see all of these wonderful performances, it's just not possible.  So Colorado Public Radio is bringing the excitement to you!  Music comes alive on Colorado Public Radio with "SummerFest.

This season Colorado Public Radio will broadcast live from four of Colorado’s top festivals: on June 24th the Colorado Music Festival features Simone Dinnerstein at Chautauqua Auditorium in Boulder; July 7th it’s the Central City Opera production of La Boheme.  Then join us on August 4th for the Bravo! Vail finale: 4x4-Two Piano Extravaganza live from the Vilar Center in Beaver Creek; and it all wraps up with the Aspen Music Festival finale featuring Mahler’s Symphony #8 on August 19th.
