Here’s a musical couple that's able to collaborate professionally in several settings.

Emily Ondracek-Peterson and Erik Peterson perform together as members of the Voxare Quartet. Emily plays violin. Erik plays the viola. The group's performances appeared on well-received recent discs by composers like David del Tredici and Mark Nowakowski.

And in the summertime, they head to the idyllic ski town of Crested Butte for their second gig, where they oversee a few weeks of concerts as co-artistic directors at the Crested Butte Music Festival.

The couple went to work recently in the CPR Performance Studio, and whipped up a stunning recording of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's first String Duo.

The third movement featured in the video above is filled with syncopated lines that highlight the unique interplay between these two musicians. Check out the performance in the video above.
