Students from the Denver School of the Arts stopped by the CPR Performance Studio recently to perform an excerpt from Dvorak's String Quintet in G major.

The performance offered a preview of the DSA's Thursday concert, set for 7 p.m. at Denver School of the Arts, 7111 Montview Blvd., Denver.  Thursday's program features high school ensembles playing chamber music: 

  • Vivaldi: Concerto in B minor for 4 Violins and Continuo
  • David Stone: Miniature String Quartet No. 1
  • Rossini: String Sonata no. 2 for 2 Violins, Cello and Double Bass, A Major
  • Beethoven: String Quartet No. 7 in F major
  • Dvorak: String Quintet in G major
  • Mozart: Two-Viola Quintet in C major, K. 515

Several of the DSA musicians in the video are also members of the Denver Young Artists Orchestra, which also performs this weekend.
