Kantorei interim conductor Sarah Harrison talks about their concert with the Meistersingers this Thursday, and we sample their Little Tree CD.

Tuesday

The Ars Nova Singers’ artistic director Thomas Edward Morgan talks about their Christmas concerts this weekend, and we sample their Yuletide CD.

Wednesday

The Colorado Choir’s Christmas concerts are Friday and Saturday. We sample their recordings.

Thursday

From last season's Colorado Symphony Masterworks series: Matthew Halls conducts Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Op. 70, with Monica Whicher, soprano; Meg Brayle, mezzo-soprano ; Lawrence Wiliford, tenor; Nathan Berg, bass-baritone; and the Colorado Symphony Chorus, Duain Wolfe, director.

FRIDAY

From the 2011 season of the Colorado Music Festival, Michael Christie conducts the Chamber Orchestra and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 in F major, Op. 68 (Pastoral).

SUNDAY

Anticipating a host of events in coming weeks (check the Classical Calendar), the weekly two-hour edition of the program features the Ivy Street Ensemble, the Intermezzo Chamber Players, ETHEL, Denver Early Music Consort, the Cherry Creek Chorale, the Broomfield Symphony Orchestra, and the Columbine Chorale.
