There's a new media campaign running on Colorado’s airwaves about hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, for oil and gas. Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development or CRED is airing radio and TV ads on stations across the state. The non-profit is funded by Anadarko Petroleum Corp. and Noble Energy Inc. The media blitz inspired a counter-campaign from the Center for Western Priorities, a regional conservation advocacy group. Ryan Warner fact checks both of these campaigns with Abrahm Lustgarten. He’s an investigative reporter who covers energy and the environment for ProPublica. Lustgarten has written extensively about fracking since 2008.
