The dark, dirty flood waters that swept across Northern Colorado are heading east to the Missouri River.
Perhaps no one knows what’s in those waters better than Steve Gunderson.
He’s the Director of Water Quality at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
That agency monitors more than 2 thousand public water and sewage systems.
And Gunderson tells CPR’s Mark Bevis that, after the flood, many plants are in bad shape.
