Two to 4 additional inches are expected in Denver, with more accumulation in the foothills.

"Road will be icy and snowpacked this morning," the NWS reported. "Some improvement expected by afternoon."

RTD in Denver said to expect delays on bus routes due to tough road conditions. The Denver International Airport recommends checking your flight schedule.

In the high country, winter weather advisories remain in effect until later this evening. Up to 14 inches of accumulation is forecasted for areas including the Eisenhower Tunnel, Berthoud Pass and Winter Park.

CDOT is recommending chains, snow tires or 4-wheel drive for all vehicles traveling on Interstate 70 in the mountains.
