Colorado Vehicle Registrations Rise Five Percent

New car and truck registrations in Colorado are up 5 percent so far this year through May, compared to the same period a year early. They also rose 5 percent comparing this May to May of 2014. The Colorado Automobile Dealers Association says trucks, SUVs and crossovers were the most popular for the third month in a row.

Likewise, the used vehicle market in Colorado, which includes vehicles up to seven years old, was up 10.2 percent in May 2015 and improved 5.5 percent for the first five months of this year.

The association says improved consumer confidence and a healthy economy are responsible for the increase in vehicle registrations.
