Ellen Daehnick is an entrepreneur with a job straight out of Willy Wonka: she makes hand-crafted salted caramels in Lakewood. The idea of ditching a corporate job to pursue a passion-- as she did-- is something a lot of people dream of. But it’s challenging to grow a food business big, when you’re promising treats made by hand. CPR’s Elaine Grant visited Ellen Daehnick at her business, Hellie Mae’s Salted Caramels, to see how she’s able to make more and more caramels in this, her second holiday season.
