Photo: Elephant walks in moonlightLate nights are an occupational hazard for scientists who study creatures that stir when the sun goes down, like bats, which are Rick Adams' specialty.

Adams is a biologist at the University of Northern Colorado and has spent countless nights netting bats. He’s also president of the Colorado Bat Society.

Adams also has just published a new book is entitled “Into the Night: Tales of Nocturnal Wildlife Expeditions.” It’s a collection of meditations from biologists who work the graveyard shift. Adams speaks to Ryan Warner from Greeley.
