CU Scholarship To Be Named for Megan Mullally

Listen Now

A new theater scholarship at CU Denver will be named for Megan Mullally, who played the boozy New York socialite Karen Walker on NBC’s “Will & Grace.” The trailblazing sitcom ran for eight seasons. More recently, Mullally has been appearing on the hit show “Parks & Rec” alongside her husband, actor Nick Offerman. This very musical couple will perform together Saturday night, September 7, at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver. Some of the proceeds will fund that new scholarship in Mullally’s name, and one in Offerman’s name. Ryan Warner speaks with Mullally and with the producer of Saturday’s show, Jose Antonio Mercado. He’s a professor of theater and film at CU Denver.
