Denver Zoo Helps Mongolian Nature Reserve

Listen Now

About a dozen Denver Zoo employees will spend time in Mongolia this year at the Ikh Nart Nature Reserve. They’ll be helping develop ways to protect the reserve and its wildlife by making them important to the Mongolian people. Ikh Nart was selected by the United Nations to become a model for other nature reserves and parks worldwide. The Denver Zoo’s Vice President for Conservation, Richard Reading, knows Mongolia well - he’s travelled and worked there since the mid '90s.He’s headed back today to help launch the UN project.
