People who spend a lot of time outdoors should have clothes and gearthat don’t mess up the environment. That’s the idea behind the Eco Index.Members of the Outdoor Industry Association developed it. Among themBoulder-based Teko Socks. That’s where Owen Hammond has the title of“sustainability guru.” He helped create the index which is catching onwith members of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition which includes Nikeand Walmart. Hammond talks with Ryan Warner about how the index works.
