The new Irish movie “Ondine” is about what the Irish tradionally call a “silkie,” a being that’s half-human and half-seal. There are ancient songs and folktales about silkies, and Colorado Public Radio film critic Howie Movshovitz says that this latest silkie story both honors the tradition and adds a new dimension.
