Boulder County officials are meeting with residents affected by September's Fourmile Canyon wildfire to share information about clean-up and rebuilding efforts...and learn what people are concerned about as they try to figure out what to do next.
County planner Garry Sanfacon is working as a liaison between the county and the foothills communities where nearly 170 homes were destroyed. He says residents seem to appreciate the county's assistance, but there's some frustration about new state rules, for example, that mean people can’t simply dump the ash and debris. Sanfacon tells Colorado Public Radio's Anna Panoka he's run meetings over the past week for people who lost their homes, and others in the area dealing with the fire's aftermath.
