More than a year ago, three young Americans were detained in Iran. They’d been hiking in Iraqi Kurdistan and strayed over an unmarked border. They were arrested and accused of being spies. One of the hikers, Sarah Shourd was released last week and arrived back in the U.S. over the weekend. Her fiance Shane Bauer and her friend Josh Fattal remain in Tehran’s Evin prison. Shane’s sister, Shannon Bauer, is a graduate student in Boulder and friends with Shourd. We get an update from Shannon Bauer about her brother and his friend.
