Colorado consistently ranks among the top ten states for identity theft. This summer, the state’s Bureau of Investigation created its first-ever advocate for victims of identity fraud. Hazel Heckers has been on the job for five months and she's been busy. Hundreds of people have already come to her for help. Heckers expects to get busier, with the launch of a new 24-hour statewide hotline for victims in time for the holidays.
