Boettcher Memorial Tropical Conservatory at the Denver Botanic Gardens has been called a masterpiece of modern architecture. The building, which opened in 1966, was designed by local architects Victor Hornbein and Edward White Jr.
On Friday, Feb. 19, the Botanic Gardens will celebrate the conservatory’s anniversary with live music, tours, and a panel discussion. Among the panelists will be Steve Turner, the Colorado's historic preservation officer.
Turner spoke with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner at the Botanic Gardens.
