Congratulations, Fort Collins drivers. You're one safe bunch.

The northern Front Range city came in first in Allstate Insurance's annual ranking of the country's safest cities for drivers. The company used collision frequency data from drivers it insures, population density, weather and other factors to calculate the ranking.

On average, Fort Collins drivers go 14.2 years between accidents. The city has topped the survey in four of the last 10 years.

Colorado Springs ranks number 14, while Lakewood comes in at 19th.

Denver and Aurora and further down the list, at 88 and 115 respectively.
