New laws in Colorado don’t just come from the Capitol. Gather enough signatures, and you can propose your own laws, directly to voters. Measures have appeared on the ballot on issues ranging from abortion to school funding. Laura Frank is executive director of the I-News Network, a non-profit investigative journalism organization, based in Denver. Because ballot measures have become so important, I-News is launching “Voters Edge Colorado.” It's an online guide to help you figure out what these initiatives are all about.
