In 2008, the beachfront tourist town of Galveston, Texas, took a beating from Hurricane Ike. Afterwards, businesses struggled to get capital and loans, and several stores had to shut down permanently. The tourist town of Estes Park will likely face similar struggles as it recovers from recent flooding there.
