Lockheed Martin Announces Layoff Of 270 In Colorado Springs

Lockheed Martin Corp. is set to lay off 270 employees in Colorado Springs in September unless the Government Accountability Office upholds the aerospace giant's protests of the $700 million contract being moved to Raytheon Co.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports that Lockheed Martin was required by the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act to send layoff notices last week.
