In our weekly feedback segment, we learn that two recent stories made such an impact on  our listeners that they decided to help some of the people featured on-air.

After hearing CPR's story about students scrambling to get their GEDs, a Denver tutor offered his services. Bob Bers wound up helping two people pass the tests.

Another public radio listener who wishes to remain anonymous donated $14,000 to a family we profiled after the Colorado flood.

Listeners also shared their memories of John Denver and his music.

That's in response to our recent special remembering what would have been John Denver's 70th birthday. Denver died in a plane crash in 1997.

"John Denver saved my last shard of sanity in a dark and miserable time,” Libby Morton, of Meeker, Colo., told CPR. “I had the opportunity to tell him that."
