New Footage of Miles-High Lightning

Geoff McHarg remembers the first time he saw video of a sprite. That's a kind of lightning that happens high up in the atmosphere-- way above a regular storm. McHarg is a sprite expert and teaches physics at the Air Force Academy. He’s gotten a chance to see the phenomenon in a whole new way. He talks with host Ryan Warner.
