During the last year, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment beefed up its online tools for job seekers. It’s launched virtual workforce centers and virtual job fairs designed to connect to people across the state. Websites aimed at helping Colorado’s veterans and teens also recently went on line. To see one of these virtual offerings in action we met up with 18-year-old Ciara Lovato at the workforce center in Pueblo. She agreed to give coloradorealitycheck.com a whirl. It’s a website that give teens a chance to check out the the financial realities of various lifestyle choices and potential careers. Next Ryan Warner speaks with Ellen Golombek, the executive director of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, about new job seeking tools for veterans.
