Redefining Life in the Bad Economy: Pat’s New Job

Last spring, we talked with Coloradans who lost their jobs in the bad economy. They struggled to pay their bills and maintain their confidence while they looked for work. One of the most extreme stories we heard was Pat's. The 52-year-old software engineer asked that we not use her last name. She was unemployed for two years and landed in a Lakewood homeless shelter. Now Pat has found work at a major computer company in California.
