The members of rock trio Rose Hill Drive have come a long way since their teenage years, when they made music in an old house on Rosehill Drive in Boulder.

On paper, it seemed like everything was on track for the band to become big. The rockers opened for bands like The Who, Stone Temple Pilots and Jane's Addiction. In 2008, Rose Hill Drive made their national television debut on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." But nearly six years ago, and after three studio albums, it appeared that the band had called it quits. Until now.

Rose Hill Drive's self-produced comeback album is called "Mania." It's out Thursday. The band's album release party is also Thursday at Boulder's Fox Theatre.

Guitarist Daniel Sproul, along with his brother, Jacob, who plays bass and sings, and drummer Nathan Barnes, spoke with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner.
