Volunteers Adopt Homeless Families

Denver’s made progress reducing the number of homeless people on its streets, but the city is still struggling with families that are homeless. One approach led by the Denver Rescue Mission has had some good results. The idea is to pair homeless families with mentors -- a church group, another family or just some friends. The mentors commit to helping a family get into housing, and maybe even pay the first month’s rent. Ryan Warner speaks with Brad Hopkins, the program's director. [Photo: Denver Rescue Mission]
