Labor Day weekend marks the end of summer and a lot of people celebrate with their own cookouts. But for the past 30 years, this weekend also means the Taste of Colorado is taking place in Denver. The food festival in Denver’s Civic Center park is expected to attract about a half million people -- a little more than last year. The Downtown Denver Partnership puts on the event. Executive Vice President Susan Rogers Kark told CPR’s Mike Lamp, that after three decades they’ve found the sweet spot for matching the huge crowd with about 50 restaurants and food vendors.
