Earlier this month, John Hickenlooper named oral health a top health priority for the state. A bill this year, which expands Medicaid in Colorado, includes basic dental care for very poor people. It reflects a growing recognition that the health of your mouth is not separate from the health of the rest of your body. Ryan Warner talks with Kate Paul, president and CEO of Delta Dental. It’s the only dental insurer based in Colorado. Paul consulted with the governor and lawmakers on the Medicaid expansion.
