10 great music videos featuring celebrities

From pre-fame or A-list, here are 10 music videos that the Hollywood actors involved shouldn't be ashamed to have starred in:

Jenny Lewis - "Just One Of The Guys"

Jenny Lewis, who by now you should know started off as a child actor before making the switch to music, has some pretty cool friends. In fact a few of them took to a studio to do the video. All hail Anne Hathaway, Kristen Stewart and Brie Larson.

Yo La Tengo - "Sugarcube"

Long before we worshipped them as Saul ("Breaking Bad") and Tobias ("Arrested Development") respectively, Bob Odenkirk and David Cross were the faces behind the HBO sketch comedy show "Mr. Show." It was around this time that they, along with "Mr. Show" co-star John Ennis, teamed up for this Yo La Tengo video where the band goes to rock school!

Cross also appeared in a few other great music videos for bands Superchunk ("Watery Hands"), The Strokes ("Juicebox") and The New Pornographers ("Use It") but this video is by far the best.

Sonic Youth - 100%

It wasn't until Kevin Smith's films that I was introduced to Jason Lee, but he goes way back with Spike Jonze and you can see him skateboarding in this Sonic Youth video.

Father John Misty - "Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings"

After watching her on the series "Parks and Recreation" for so long, Aubrey Plaza is the perfect fit for the protagonist of this bizarre video.

Kanye West - "Can't Tell Me Nothing"

I think I've watched this music video so much that I actually forget that Kanye West even sings this song because when Zach Galifianakis lip synchs it, he's so entertaining! This video was shot and filmed on Zach's farm in North Carolina and features a cameo by one of my favorite musicians Will Oldham aka Bonnie 'Prince' Billy!

You can also catch Galifianakis in Fiona Apple's "Not About Love."

Lykke Li - "Sadness Is A Blessing"

Stellan Skarsgard stars opposite Li in this video about the shattered lives of two people. BTW: His son, Alexander Skarsgard is in Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi."

Yeasayer - "Madder Red"

Kristen Bell is so likable. Likable in "Veronica Mars" and probably even in the bad romantic comedies I will never see her in. I am glad I stumbled upon her in this video about taking care of her sick, mutant pet. You just need to watch it to see what I mean.

Arcade Fire - "We Exist"

Win Butler said he was inspired by a gay teenage fan he met in Jamaica when he wrote this song. While some criticized the video, Butler thought it was powerful, and enlisted Andrew Garfield ("The Amazing Spider-Man") to play the role of the youth in the video.

Fatboy Slim - "Weapon Of Choice"

TWO WORDS: Christopher Walken. When I first saw this video, I remembered that I read somewhere Walken has danced in every film he has ever been in, whether its been written in or not.

Beastie Boys - "Fight For Your Right (Revisited)"

There's way too many cameos to list in this 30-minute retelling of events that followed after "Fight For Your Right To Party," but it sure is a fun adventure. Seth Rogen, Danny McBride and Elijah Wood play the trio.

Also you can see a young Wood in The Cranberries' "Ridiculous Thoughts" and in Paula Abdul's "Forever Your Girl."

BONUS: Before she was an adorkable indie film darling and started writing music with M. Ward, 18-year old Zooey Deschanel is embarrassingly amazeballs in The Offspring video for "She's Got Issues." Deschanel has come a long way and I think you're gonna like her in her latest music video for She & Him's "Stay Awhile."
