Chairlift -- which formed at the University of Colorado in Boulder -- today announced it will disband following a string of tour dates next spring.
The pop duo -- singer Caroline Polachek and producer/multi-instrumentalist Patrick Wimberly -- delivered the news Friday morning via Twitter. The tweet details Polachek's plans to pursue a solo career and Wimberly's plans to work as a full-time record producer.
