Denver hip-hop band Flobots will perform a free concert at Denver's Civic Center Park on Aug. 12. It's the first in a series of events presented by Levitt Pavillion Denver, a music organization that plans to open in July 2017 a outdoor amphitheater in Denver's Ruby Hill Park.

The free concert series will also include Brandy Zdan (Aug. 26), Young Dubliners (Sept. 16), Stooges Brass Band (Sept. 23) and John Fullbright (Oct. 7). All events take place at Civic Center Park.

Flobots hosted in April a community choir event in which they invited the public to sing on their forthcoming album, "NOENEMIES." The album is set for release early next year.
