Land Lines visits OpenAir

Land Lines is quickly becoming a Colorado favorite, despite the fact that the trio has not yet released any recorded material. So we felt very fortunate to welcome Land Lines to the OpenAir studio, where the band performed three unreleased songs.

Rising from the ashes of Matson Jones--a quartet that went defunct after a member left Colorado--Land Lines dials it down a bit for this new project, which once again centers around some great cello work. The result: lush orchestrations created from a "minimal and careful, particular" approach, the band describes.

Just over a year old, and Land Lines has already played for packed rooms in support of local groups like Snake Rattle Rattle Snake and Achille Lauro for their respective album release shows. And finally, the band plans to release its debut record via Cash Cow Production in the near future. Until then, listen to Land Lines' performance and interview recorded live at OpenAir HERE.
