Nashville rockers Moon Taxi have graced the likes of David Letterman and Conan O'Brien's late night shows, so we were thrilled to get them into our very own CPR Performance Studio this week. The five members of Moon Taxi played a few songs, including a stripped down version of "The New Black," from their third album, "Mountains Beaches Cities." Later that night, they gave a particularly lively opening performance for White Denim at Denver's Bluebird Theater.
Keefer interviewed the band about controlling their impulsiveness in the studio, the genre of "Ameritronica," and the influences of filmmaker Quentin Tarantino and author Tom Robbins.
