While most in the ski town are cautiously optimistic about Vail's arrival, others are fearful it will cause a real estate boom that will squeeze them out.
In New Hampshire, the attorney general’s office says the deal can’t proceed without state approval.
Once the sale is completed, Vail will own five ski resorts in Colorado: Crested Butte, Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone and Breckenridge.
The permits, available only online through Recreation.gov on a first-come, first-served basis, will be required year-round.
For nine years, Montanya Rum has been distilled in the Colorado mountains. It is now being exported to seven countries and recently received an award as a notable Colorado export business.
