A billion-dollar industry in Colorado finds itself on shaky ground after AG Sessions makes a move that contradicts what he once said to senators.
"More people die every year from smoking than from murder, AIDS, suicide, drugs, car crashes and alcohol, combined," the ads say.
Sessions recently sent letters to the governors of Colo., Alaska, Ore. and Wash., detailing his concerns with state regulatory efforts. Colorado has responded.
"We must encourage these 'sanctuary' jurisdictions to change their policies," Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in announcing the move.
