Photo: Historical Christmas 8

Craig, 1919. Mary Pat Ettinger Dunn, registrar Museum of Northwest Colorado, describes the photo: "You can just sense that the children in the photo are almost dancing with anticipation on this Christmas Eve in 1919.  The town of Craig, at this time, probably wasn’t much more than 1,200 in population, so the crowds seen in this image indicate what a tremendous community event this was. This scene took place at the town’s main intersection of Main Street and Yampa Avenue (STILL the main intersection!)."
