Pianist Vladimir Feltsman plays an all-Robert Schumann program at the Aspen Music Festival’s winter recital series on Saturday, March 14.

The concert, which will air live at 6:30 p.m. on CPR Classical, features Schumann’s “Kinderscenen (Scenes from Childhood),” “Faschingsschwank aus Wien” and Fantasy in C major.

Feltsman became an international sensation in the late 1980s after many news stories about his struggle to leave the Soviet Union to focus on his solo career. The pianist is a frequent performer at Aspen Music Festival. He talked about his music and his time in the political spotlight last summer in an interview with CPR Classical:
