Event Description

The Philharmonic is back for the first concert of the season, presented by UCHealth in celebration of October is Arts Month.

Edward Elgar came from humble beginnings at a time when the world was changing. He rose to become one of England’s most revered composers. His mysterious “Enigma” hides its secret inside a treasure box of musical variations including the world-famous “Nimrod.” Special guest pianist Jorge Luis Prats joins forces with the maestro and musicians of the Philharmonic for Sergei Prokofiev’s second piano concerto. Josep Caballé-Domenech will be conducting with Jorge Luis Prats on the piano.

Tickets start at $28. Discounts available.
Kids get in free - “Free for Kids” offers young audiences an invitation to hear the Philharmonic perform live, in a true concert setting. Admission for ages 7 to17 is complimentary, and made possible, in part, by the support of GE Johnson Construction Company and annual gifts from other generous donors.
Here’s how it works: For every adult ticket purchased at regular price, the Philharmonic provides up to two “Free for Kids” tickets. To take advantage of this offer, make your request in person at the Pikes Peak Center Box Office and our staff will happily handle the rest.
Join us for Colorado Springs Philharmonic Pre-Concert talks. Go behind the curtain and inside the score with these 30-minute pre-concert conversations featuring conductors and guest artists giving their take on the program. Talks begin one hour before performance time.
