Kujichagulia (Self-Determination)! Celebrate Kwanzaa with Special Guests Friends of Joda and Graphic Novelist R. Alan Brooks

Kwanzaa is a celebration that honors the African first fruits harvest tradition. Take part in a festive cross-cultural virtual experience highlighting the principle of Kujichagulia (Self-Determination). The program will feature Friends of Joda who will welcome us into the space and provide an introduction to Kwanzaa. Professor and graphic novelist R. Alan Brooks, will talk about some of his experience writing and drawing comic books, and how self-determination can help us all accomplish our creative goals. Q&A to follow. Ideal for all ages.
