Metamorphosis

Cottonwood Center for the Arts is proud to present a juried exhibition for the month of March composed of artists from across the Pikes Peak region and beyond.

The aesthetic evolutions the artist experiences mid-career are as crucial to their journeys as any other major life event. A big one can be evidence of the artist’s growing maturity or their reflection of culture shifting around them. “Metamorphosis” asked artists to show us a major change with two pieces: one artwork exemplifying an earlier mode/style in their art and one showing a major shift away from that period. Rather than bad vs. good art or student vs. master art…we asked for two completely realized expressions.

We invite you to come experience the evolutions of these creators and enjoy two floors of open studios + galleries this First Friday from 5-8pm, and all month during normal business hours.
