The Manitou Springs Heritage Center and Museum welcomes Author and Historian Doris McCraw for a talk and presentation about “Under the Stone: Early Women Doctors in Evergreen Cemetery” to be held on the rooftop deck of the Historic Spa Building in downtown Manitou Springs.

Come join us at the best seat in town as Doris McCraw presents “Under the Stone: Early Women Doctors in Evergreen Cemetery”. Doris is an Author, Speaker and Historian, specializing in Colorado and Women's History. Drs. Harriet Leonard and Julia E. Loomis were the first documented medical school graduates in the area. Their story is the beginning of a line of female doctors who followed and Doris will cover their story and that of other Women Doctors who received their state license prior to 1900.
