Fluoride Debate Hits Colorado’s Largest Water Utility

Colorado's largest supplier of public drinking water is in the midst of a debate over how much fluoride — if any — to put into its delivery system after the federal government announced lower standards in April.

The discussion at Denver Water comes as other utilities around Colorado and the country debate the use of fluoride. In some cases, fluoridation opponents are adding pressure, claiming that it damages teeth and bones.
