The first day of summer marks more than long days and record temperatures -- it's also high water mark of Colorado music festival season. First up is the Westword Music Showcase in downtown Denver on Saturday, June 23. Headliners including electronic act Bonobo and Colorado acts will share two outdoor main stages. Next, the Underground Music Showcase takes over the Baker neighborhood and South Broadway July 27 - 29. The three-day act welcomes hundreds of lesser-known national and local bands. Then, make a trip to Fort Collins for Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest, a free three-day festival. Velorama returns to RiNo after a successful first year August 17 - 19, coinciding with the bike race the Colorado Classic. Finally Grandoozy, the biggest festival of the summer, wraps up the season September 14 -16 with headliners Stevie Wonder, Florence & The Machine and Kendrick Lamar.
