Chicago artist Nick Cave sews, glues, and weaves together trinkets, old clothes, even furniture to make intricate art. A cross between sculpture and clothing, Cave calls his creations "sound suits." Performers don these costumes -- which make The Muppets look like conservative dressers -- for wild dances. "Sojourn," an exhibition of Nick Cave's work, is on at the Denver Art Museum and there’s a performance at Denver's Civic Center on Friday, July 19. Nick Cave speaks with Ryan Warner about using what he calls "surplus" to make art.
